Musings from the past

Tomorrow night is ER night unless I go see a movie by myself, because I still can't find someone to go see "In Her Shoes" with me. Free popcorn on Wednesdays for amc movie watchers and I can use my old student id from either cc to get student pricing, which is still like $7 bucks! Do you remember when the non-matinee started costing $7??? I remember when night movies started costing $4. I remember when the dollar theater switched to two.

Does this sound familiar to you? "Your email address was a pain in the ass to find. Your Yahoo is saved on my hotmail and your hotmail is saved on myuw account, so I found your preferred email the gmail address on my gmail account, which I haven't logged onto in months. Glad it didn't delete my account." (You might be an internet junkie).

I've hidden all the old love letters from my hotmail account in my gmail account, since hotmail shrank its storage and then later expanded it to compete with other providers and I didn't want to see the file folder boyz anymore.

Is it odd that the next generation won't be able to drag out the shoebox to reminise about war stories and true loves, since they were lost to things like "Recycle Bin" and "virus"

In my english class, we exchanged e-mail addresses because we were working on a paper together. I got a few commments on my address, because i registered a domain in my own name (jayspang.com) so they already thought i was a nerd.

During the course of working on the paper, I replied to our e-mail thread while at work... and then had to use my gmail account for some reason or another.

When we finally turned our paper in, I realized that I had 3 different e-mail addresses on the thread :(

PS. Shoeboxes will never die. Where else are men supposed to put all the useless stuff women give us, like teddy bears and love notes? :D

I have started writing paper letters back and forth with important friends for this particular reason -- I want to be able to have something to look back on sometime later that is more than just some words on a computer screen.

The midwest is full of these dollar theaters which show movies a few months after they have premiered for the general public. Which is perfect for me now, because I have gone and seen any new movies for the last few months, so they are all new to me...

I can't keep my own email addresses all straight. I have almost all of them just forwarding to one address, and that sort of helps.
